Editor in Chief, Long Island Law Mag

Kirsten Miller brings over two decades of combined legal and journalism experience to her role as Editor in Chief at Long Island Law Mag. Her unique background as both a former paralegal and seasoned legal journalist provides her with invaluable insights into the intersections of law, media, and community interests.

Professional Journey

Kirsten’s career began in the legal field, where she spent twelve years as a litigation paralegal at Hoffman & Associates, one of Long Island’s premier civil litigation firms. During her tenure, she specialized in complex commercial litigation and class action cases, developing a deep understanding of New York’s legal landscape. Her experience managing high-stakes cases and working alongside leading attorneys gave her an insider’s perspective on the legal system that now informs her editorial direction.

In 2015, Kirsten made the transition to legal journalism, initially serving as a contributing writer for several prominent legal publications. Her ability to translate complex legal concepts into accessible content quickly gained recognition, leading to her appointment as Senior Legal Correspondent at The Nassau County Legal Observer in 2017.

Kirsten joined Long Island Law Mag in 2019 as Managing Editor, where she played a crucial role in expanding the publication’s digital presence and establishing its reputation as the go-to source for legal news on Long Island. In 2021, she was promoted to Editor in Chief, overseeing all editorial operations and strategic content initiatives.
